It all started when crankthatskunk challenge me to prove from Quran that Hazrat M.G.Ahmad (as) is the promised one. I post the verse 24:56 and it was agreed after talmatool of crankthatskunk that only translation of Ibne Abbas will be used for discussing this verse.

Then verse was divided into six parts for making it easy to understand the whole verse an dto proceed step by step. The points were:

1. Allah hath promised such of you as believe and do good works

2. He will surely make them to succeed in the earth

3. As He caused those who were before them

4. He will surely establish for them their religion

5. Will give them in exchange safety after their fear They serve Me They ascribe no thing as partner unto Me.

6. Those who disbelieve henceforth they are the miscreants

What we see in the whole thread is only the discussion on first two points. crankthatskunk believe that this verse is for the era of Hazrat Muhammad (saww) and his (saww) companions (rz). I believe this verse is timeless and applicable to whole world for all the time. I provided the few more verses of Quran in support of my arguments but was not accepted why? Only he thinks without any Quranic support.

Next thing was meaning of succeed. I gave three different verses for explanation of word succeed these were, 2:31 and 38:27 (first type of succession), 7:70 and 75 (for another type of succession) and lastly 7:143 (third type of succession). At that point crankthatskunk intruded Quran and told us that succeed means "To achieve an aim and purpose, attain fame, wealth, social or religious status. I asked him succeed with this meaning is translation of which Arabic word of verse 24:56. like me everyone is waiting for his reply.

I have summarized as mush as I can if I missed any relevant point do tell me the summary can be rectified.
